In
1993, upon the release of Gia's bio
Thing of Beauty, the TV show
Hard
Copy produced an in-depth profile on Gia. It was narrated by friend and
fellow model, Beverly Johnson, and included rare camcorder video footage
of Gia under the influence in a New York hotel room, discussing her 1982
"comeback".
It also includes interviews with supermodel Gia from the ABC
20/20
report on the dark side of the modeling industry.
I was lucky to have taped it back then.
It's both fascinating and heart-breaking to watch Gia in this rare footage.
